When should your child join?
Basic Skills classes are offered thru Elk River Park and Recreation (erpr.org).
Once your child is progressing in Basic Skills and is interested in private
coaching
(around Basic 4 or later), they are ready
to join the Club.
They must be a Club member to take official U.S. Figure Skating
tests
and/or compete in competitions beyond the
Basic Skills level.
They must also be
a member to skate on the Club contract ice.
Skaters do not need to be a member to participate
in
Junior Club or the Club classes that are
held (Edge, Spin, Jump)
Interested in Becoming a Member?
There is no minimum skating level required
to join the Club
Joining the Elk River Figure Skating Club (ERFSC) entitles
the skater to the following benefits:
eligibility to skate on Club contract
ice (Tues, Thurs, Sat) *
opportunity to have
private lessons with a coach *
opportunity to participate
in off-ice training *
eligibility to participate
in testing, competitions, and exhibitions *
discounted test fees for ERFSC test sessions
eligibility to participate in ERFSC sponsored events
membership in United States Figure Skating (USFS)
subscription to USFS “Skating Magazine”
USFS Athlete Insurance
membership
in Twin Cities Figure Skating Association (TCFSA)

The membership year runs July 1st thru June 30th; however, you may become a member at any time during the year.
All memberships are renewed annually by June 30th.
All members are required
to participate in one mandatory fundraiser each year,
regardless of when they joined during the year.

responsible for payment of all fees (ice, coaching, testing, etc)
